Saphlux CEO Chen Chen Invited to Speak at Core Technology Forum During Touch Taiwan 2026, Showcasing Advances in Monolithic Full-Color µLED Technology
From April 8 to 10, 2026, Touch Taiwan 2026—the International Smart Display and Touch Panel Exhibition—was held at the Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, in Taipei, China.
Dr. Chen Chen, CEO of Saphlux, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote address at the Core Technology Forum organized by the Taiwan Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Materials and Devices Industry Association (TSOMDA). In his presentation, titled “From Lab to Fab: Scaling Monolithic Color µLED Displays for AR/MR Glasses,” Dr. Chen shared the latest progress in monolithic full-color µLED technologies, highlighting the transition from research breakthroughs to scalable manufacturing, while engaging with global peers across the semiconductor and optoelectronics sectors to explore new pathways for technological convergence and industry development.
This year’s exhibition centered on smart displays, intelligent manufacturing, and advanced semiconductor packaging, highlighting the convergence of semiconductor and display technologies and serving as a key platform for global exchange across the optoelectronics and semiconductor industries.

During the forum, Dr. Chen Chen drew on Saphlux’s work in AR µLED technologies to outline key technical advances and remaining challenges in commercialization, providing a structured overview of underlying principles and recent developments. He presented the application of the company’s monolithic full-color NPQD® technology in AR glasses, including its integration with micro-lens structures to enable high brightness, improved efficiency, low color shift, and ultra-small pixel size—providing a compact optical solution for AR microdisplays. He also engaged with industry participants to exchange views on emerging technology trends and ecosystem collaboration.
